Book Review of Death by Meeting

Death by Meeting
Death by Meeting
Author: Patrick Lencioni
Publisher: Jossey-Bass Publishers, 2004

Death by Meeting by Patrick Lencioni, as indicated by the title, suggests what many in Corporate America report:  the prevailing notion that business meetings are, for the most part, time consuming and wasteful. This book outlines some very proactive and interesting ways to focus and dramatically improve meetings.

However, I found the story line particularly annoying.  In this book we meet Katherine’s son, Will. Will seems to have Tourettes Syndrome at the most opportune times. It’s all a little too farfetched and condescending.

I recommend reading the Executive Summary which gives you the key points of the book without the story line.

  1. I agree and the Executive Summary is sufficient for understanding the books contents.
